We all have Suffered Sporting Injuries
Some of the most common Sporting Injuries we see are in the foot, ankle and calf! This includes on field and after game acute injury management of ankle sprains, fractures and Achilles tendon ruptures, and management of injuries that sneak up over time! This includes pre-game taping with a variety of sporting tape techniques, bracing, and the development of detailed, sports-specific rehabilitation plans to not only return an athlete to play, but also to prevent future injury.
All of our Physiotherapists started their careers with an extensive sporting experience:
Matthew is passionate about sports and has worked with a number of semi- professional sports teams in the past and including serving as the Head Physiotherapist role at the Parramatta Two Blues Rugby Club. As part of this role, Matt has developed an exceptional ability to devise specific and graded rehabilitation plans for athletes to achieve optimal outcomes in a timely nature.
Nicola began her career working with Marconi Stallions Premier League soccer and was the NSW Netball physiotherapist for 3 seasons. She, like Matthew, has extensive on-field and off-field experience with acute sporting injuries. She also has experience treating ultramarathon runners and has a keen eye for inefficiencies in running and sporting technique that can lead to injuries and hindered performance.
